I have paid for term two lessons on The Music Bus, how do I access my lesson packages?"Your lesson packages have automatically been assigned to your Music Room account. All you need to do is sign in and start booking! You should have recieved an email confirmation link at your nominated account for your Music Bus communications. Either click on that link or head to www.themusicroom.com.au. Navigate to the top right hand corner of the website and click "Log In" Gmail/GSuite Emails If you are a Gmail or Gsuite user you can simply click "Log in with Google" Other Email Accounts/Providors Your lesson packages have been assigned to the email you used to register for lessons with the Music Bus. To access your account follow the directions above and click "Log in with Email" and you will be presented with this page. Click on "Forgot password?" and you will be asked to enter in your email. Type in the email address that you used for your Music Bus registration or the address which received your Music Room confirmation. They should be the same. Check your email and follow the links to reset your password. Now you can access your profile by clicking "Log in" up the top right corner of the homepage, entering your email address and new password and clicking "Log In" Great! I'm logged in, where can I view/book my lessons? You can view and book lesson times by navigating to "My Lessons" from the top right hand corner menu. Then click "Register for Lessons" to see our schedule.

Will my child require their instrument?For Group Lessons, they will not require their instrument. You just need a quiet space for them to watch and interact with the lessons. For 1-1 Lessons, their instruments are required. Ideally the camera and microphone should be positioned close to the instrument so the instructor is able to see how their student is playing their instrument.

What time zone are the lesson times listed in?All lesson times are listed in Sydney time by default. If you would like to view the lessons in your local timezone if applicable, click "View in my local timezone" above the calendar before you schedule your lessons.

How does my child login to their lessons?To access the virtual classroom for your weekly lessons, you just need to follow the URL supplied to you in your booking email. If you can't find it - no worries, please get in touch with our support team email contactus@themusicbus.com.au and we'll send it through to you!

Do I need a webcam?For group lessons it is not required. The minimum requirements for a student to join one of our group lessons are an internet connection, computer with speakers and a microphone. The webcam is optional. Your child will still be able to see and interact with our Teacher and participate in the activities and quizzes! Rember you can also use the chat option to answer questions for the teacher to see! For 1 on 1 lesson it is highly recommended. To get the most out of our 1 on 1 lessons we recommend you use a webcam to enable our instructors to coach them on their instrument. For best results we ask that the camera is positioned so that the instrument can be seen by the instructor.

What if my child can’t make a lesson, can I change my child’s lesson time?"Yes of course! You can easily reschedule any upcoming lessons. First you need to log in to your user account on our website, then navigate to "My Lessons" from the Members Menu on the top right hand corner. From your "My Lessons" page you can view your upcoming bookings. Click "Reschedule" on the lesson time that you would like to change. You can then choose the time and date for the rescheduled lesson. Note you can also change the timezone the lessons are displayed in by clicking "View in my local timezone" and it will auto detect based on your browser location preferences. Once you have selected the class and instructor, you can click next to continue where you will be presented with a confirmation of your new lesson time! You can add it to your Google Calander if you wish, you will also receive a confirmation email with the details of the reschedule.

What platform are you using to deliver the lessons?We use Zoom Meetings! There is no installation required, just click and go! If you need to troubleshoot anything please click this link.

Do I need headphones?If you have headphones, use them! Headphones are great to work with our group or 1-1 lessons as the children can really focus on the class and not get distracted by other things happening in the house. If headphones aren’t an option, we encourage all parents to help teach their child how to use the mute/unmute button (the one that looks like a microphone) so throughout the class, they can mute themselves in order to focus, or unmute when everyone needs to interact with the teacher.

Does my child require an email address to register an account?It is not required, you can use your own - however, if you have two children that would like to access the Learning Materials, Forum Posts and other class activities, they will need a seperate email for their account to be able to access their personal profile. Many students have email accounts these days that they can use, or you can easily set up a free Google Gmail account for them which allows some parently oversight and control over the account.

What platform do you use for online classes?We use Zoom! We have found this the best platform for lessons as the teacher can see all student in the class, have access to present our curriculum to them on the screen
